Industry Visit (Infosys) of Final year CSE & ISE - BE Students

The Students of 7th semester along with staff visited the Infosys Campus, Mysuru on 30.08.2019. Our Alumni students Miss. Radhika K R and Mr. Deepak B S working as Member Generic Track, ETA Infosys, Mysuru gave a presentation about the campus and also told how to prepare for campus drive. Around 100 students of CSE & ISE along with staff Prof. Shashikala S V, Mr. Prasanna kumar M J, Miss. Namitha A R and Mr. Sunil kumar B R visited the campus.

 

 

  

 

 

Report on one day Industrial Visit to ISRO(IDSN, Byalalu), Bengaluru


A one-day Industrial visit to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Indian Deep Space Network (IDSN), Byalalu, Bengaluru was organized by Department of Information Science & Engineering and Department of Computer Science & Engineering on 31/05/2022 with one hundred & ten students and four faculty members.


 

Indian Deep Space Network (IDSN) is a network of large antennas and communication facilities operated by the Indian Space Research Organization to support the interplanetary spacecraft missions of India. Senior Scientist Mr. B Shankar Madaswamy explained about Satellite, Orbit, Categories of Satellite, different parts of satellite, etc. Students actively participated and interacted with the scientists, they gained the knowledge about how signals are broadcasted with the help of satellites to antennas and antennas to the data centers and finally to the users based on the application requirement, and about the 18mt, 32 mt antenna.
Senior Scientist of the data center explained the overall process of data receiving, data pre-processing and storing which they are following in the data center. Data Center engineer explained that the data processing is planned in three stages 1. Raw payload data 2.  Level-0 data 3. Level-1 data for each science payload is transferred to the respective Payload Operations Centers(POC) for further processing, analysis and generation of higher level data products.
